Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Muffins

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Muffins

Bananas and chocolate – a classic yet decadent combination, especially for breakfast, and especially in banana bread.  However, making a loaf of bread can be a time consuming task because it takes nearly 60 minutes to bake.  But what if you are short on time, or you want some banana bread for breakfast?  Assuming no leftovers, I’m not about to wait over an hour to eat.  30 minutes for muffins though?  That’s doable.

These guys have the same fluffy, moist, and utterly mouthwatering texture of banana bread, but they are already in individual portions and quicker to whip up.  Plus, they’re crazy delicious.  Just thinking about them is making me smile!

Notes

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Muffins

Note:  The banana bread base is simply incredible and works with many types of mix-ins.  Blueberries are one of my personal favorites, but you can also substitute the chocolate chips for nuts, dried cranberries, or even apples!  Enjoy 🙂
