This is another wonderful fall treat that will warm your heart and your taste buds. It is naturally sweet with the maple syrup and apples, hearty thanks to the brown rice, and has a lovely cinnamon spice twist.
¼tspnutmeg, cloves, or allspice (depending on preference)
1apple, peeled and diced small
Directions
1
Combine brown rice, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and spices in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil (watch carefully to avoid boiling over) then immediately turn to low heat.
2
Simmer for 25 min then add apples. Cook for 10-15 more minutes, stirring occasionally until it is creamy and excess liquid is absorbed.
