Chocolate Cherry Chia Parfait

Cherry season is coming up, and that means it’s time for some cherry creations! I was inspired by my love of chocolate covered cherries and my regular parfait regimen to create something like this: a parfait complete with loads of cocoa, chia seeds, yogurt, and of course, a handful of granola.
It has come to my attention that this decadent jar of goodness could also be called a black forest parfait, which for some reason makes me visualize black bears eating off a cherry tree. However, I think chocolate cherry chia parfait has a nice ring to it 🙂 Either way, its absolutely delicious and tastes insanely dessert-like.
Despite it’s indulgent taste, it is actually quite balanced. Full of antioxidants, protein, and energizing nutrients, you can feel great about digging in. So, let your taste buds do a little dance and grab a big spoon!
Ingredients Directions Combine chia seeds and almond milk in a jar. Stir then chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Once the chia seeds have soaked up the milk to a desirable consistency, stir in cocoa powder and maple syrup. Layer on Greek yogurt, cherries, granola, and chocolate. Enjoy!
