Ingredients

2 ⅔ cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
1 tbsp cinnamon
2 tsp ginger
½ tsp nutmeg
¼ tsp cloves
1 cup softened butter (2 sticks)
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
Cinnamon Sugar Mixture
¼ cup granulated sugar
2 tsp cinnamon

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
2Whisk together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves. Set aside.
3Cream butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy using an electric mixer.
4Add eggs and vanilla then mix in.
5Gradually mix in the dry mixture into the wet mixture until evenly combined.
6Prepare the cinnamon sugar mixture by stirring the sugar and cinnamon together.
7Roll dough into balls about one inch in diameter. Then, roll each ball in the cinnamon sugar mixture, fully coating them.
8Place dough balls about two inches apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
9Bake for 11-13 minutes, until set. Remove from oven and let cool on the pan for about two minutes. Then, transfer to a wire rack. Enjoy!
